In sub-project D6 economic issues concerning acceptance and structure of
innovative context-aware mobile non-voice applications respectively
mobile data services are discussed. Therefore, conceptual funded
empirical baseline surveys are employed to examine which service-,
individual-, and context-related factors take influence on the willingness of
demand. Within sub-project D6 data of surveys and quasi-experimental
methods examining samples of private customers, business associates,
and marquee figures of business who decide about the release of funds
and technological key points concerning the implementation of such
services in Germany is generated. The findings derived from statistically
collected data are used to support the customer-based technological
development and to identify solutions for a commercialization of context-aware
mobile data services to achieve an increase in the willingness of
demand in the aforementioned target groups.
